Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Programs described in its return (1)
  1. $63,232 spent. AfSIS is partnering with Amini AI of Nairobi, Kenya, to continue to map over 300,000 cocoa, rubber, and oil palm farms in Cote d'Ivoire with funding from the Kofi Annan Award for Innovation in Africa (KAAIA) and the United Nations World Food Project Innovation Accelerator. Cote d'Ivoire produces approximately 40% of the global cocoa supply, and it is a crucial component of the Ivorian economy, employing millions of people across the nation. This year AfSIS is also working with Amini to create a crop forecasting model using 30 years of crop yield and rainfall data. The model will be used to inform policies for a large company planning to offer crop insurance to small holder farmers in East Africa
