Programs described in its return (3)
- $502,650 spent. Vocational training program that teaches job skills in the screen printing and embroidery industry. Through this program we teach work ethic, financial literacy, job preparedness, and character skills. By the end of 2024 we have employed 28 youth, helped 7 employees obtain their driver's licenses, required 6 employees to finish high school as part of their employment, helped 11 employees open bank accounts, helped complete 4 college application and 4 FAFSA forms, led 11 employees through the StrengthFinders curriculum and served hundreds of lunches. Employees are learning vocational skills and soft skills such as public speaking, organization, cooperation, and team work.
- $84,691 spent. A vocational training program that teaches job skills and character skills through a flower seed, bulb, and tuber farm. Employees learn about plant identification, planting plans, fertilization, managing water usage and marketing and sales.
- $26,569 spent. Establish a housing program to provide an opportunity for employees to gain access to affordable housing for first time renters. This provides stable and foundational experience to establish healthy discipline and habits. It also works in conjunction with our vocational training program - both stable employment and stable housing are necessary for a successful economic life and contributions to the community by participants.
