Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (6)
  1. $24,873 spent. Basic needs/relief support: In 2025, Bread to the Nations provided for the basic needs of food, clean water, clothing and medical expenses for vulnerable children and their families. This amount also includes relief support to families living in an area impacted by gang activity. The total cost of support expensed to these families, including the cost for a social worker and accountability person, was $24,873. The ultimate goal is to see each family become independent and provide for their own children some day.
  2. $33,178 spent. Education: Bread to the Nations (BttN) partners with some of the best schools in Haiti, to provide education for children. In 2025, BttN supported the cost of tuition for 46 students. Most of these students come from vulnerable situations and would not be in school or attending a poor quality school if not for the support of BttN. BttN contracts with local Haitians to lead this initiative. They are responsible for keeping all records on the children and their progress in school with academics and attendance. We provide additional tutoring and support to the families when necessary, all to ensure success in the program. In 2025, one child received their high school diploma, one young woman entered her third year in nursing school and another young woman started her first year in nursing school, two young women and one young man started their own businesses after completing trade school. We also support one young man in medical school. All of this is possible through the support of BttN and encouragement of its leaders serving on the ground in Haiti. The total amount spent to support the education initiative in 2025 was $33,177.91. This includes tuition costs, tutoring, books, uniforms and contract employee expenses.
  3. $14,527 spent. Mission Trip: In November 2025, Bread to the Nations sent a team of women to the Dominican Republic to lead a women's retreat, visit the widows and encourage the church body. Included in the overall cost of this trip is a food distribution to the women who were part of the retreat and to families in the Batays (communities where Haitians live and work in the sugarcane fields). Women were able to lay down their burdens and experience spiritual renewal and healing. The cost also covered food and materials for the retreat along with new doors and windows for the home of a family part of the local church. The total amount expensed for this mission trip was $14,527.29.
  4. $1,000 spent. Clean Water - In 2025, Bread to the Nations helped support the installation of 10 water filters in homes in Haiti. There is a lack of clean water in the area we serve in Haiti. This will help more than 10 families and their neighbors have access to a clean water source. This is important especially during a time when water born illnesses, such as cholera are on the rise in Haiti. The total expenses for clean water in 2025 was $1,000
  5. $12 spent. Audio Bibles: In 2025, Bread to the Nations purchased Bibles in Haiti to distribute to families who became new believers. The Bibles are a tool for evangelizing and to help share the Gospel. Total cost was $12.
  6. $9,813 spent. Bread to the Widows: Bread to the Widows an initiative Bread to the Nations launched in 2024 in the Dominican Republic. A BttN leader and medical professional, along with the local pastor we partner with visit 7 widows in their homes each month to check on their overall well being. They bring a bag of food staples and help cover costs of medications. BttN leader also checks their vital signs and documents changes in their health. Since we began this initiative, we have seen a significance improvement in each widow's overall health. They are more informed about their health needs and are empowered to take control of their own overall health. The total cost for this program in 2025 was $9,813.02. This amount covered transportation and travel expenses for our leader and the pastor, our leader's contracted salary, medications, doctor appointments and food.
