Financial health

We do not score finances when yearly spending is very small or the return has too little detail. The ratios stop meaning much at that size.

Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (3)
  1. In 2024, the housing cooperative board increased to bi-weekly meetings to discuss all aspects of house governance, with inhabitants of the house greatly influencing the decision-making by utilizing sociocracy as the main form of governance. Discussions mainly focused on the transition towards completion of construction and membershipping new members, as well as the next steps in roles for members in the household.
  2. Procedures were created to enhance resilience for vulnerable members of the community in preparation for the co-op taking over financial self-governance and accounting starting in 2025.
  3. The co-op maintained affordable rents. In 2024, rents did not increase despite increasing market rate rents in the local rental market.
