Financial health

We do not score finances when yearly spending is very small or the return has too little detail. The ratios stop meaning much at that size.

Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Programs described in its return (1)
  1. $61,260 spent. In 2024, Women of Color on Broadway presented the Broadway Culture Project, featuring the second annual Juneteenth Symphony. This free public program celebrated the cultural contributions of Black Americans through music, dance, and community education. The event featured an all-Black orchestra, vocalists, and dancers, and included three public workshops focused on financial literacy, mental health, and healthcare access. These workshops were hosted in partnership with local nonprofit organizations and public service providers. The program directly benefited approximately 279 attendees, primarily from low-income and historically underserved communities in New York City. It also created paid opportunities for over 25 artists, crew, and administrative professionals, the majority of whom identified as Black, Indigenous, or people of color. The event provided cultural enrichment while increasing access to essential public resources for marginalized communities.
