Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (6)
  1. $23,749 spent. Our transport program successfully transferred over 700 homeless animals in 2024 to out of state rescue partners where they are adopted into loving forever homes. The cost of our transport program includes van maintenance and insurance, gas, volunteer mileage reimbursements, hotel and food expenses for drivers, and travel crates, bedding, and other supplies as needed.
  2. $64,804 spent. Our veterinary program includes vetting of the animals we transfer to ensure that they are healthy enough to cross states lines according to the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food, & Forestry.
  3. $19,061 spent. Our foster program provides food and supplies for volunteers who open up their home to foster an animal awaiting transport so it does not have to go into a boarding facility.
  4. $1,508 spent. Occasionally, we cannot find fosters for certain animals; thus, our boarding program pays for the costs of boarding these animals at a facility until they leave on transport.
  5. $10,567 spent. Sometimes, when we are asked to place puppies on transport born into an accidental litter, we offer to sterilize the litter's mom to prevent future unwanted litters. We also pay for sterilization of animals for families in extenuating circumstances to prevent unwanted litters.
  6. $4,032 spent. Occasionally, we fundraise to be able to purchase items that fall outside of the budget for Tulsa Animal Welfare, our municipal shelter. These items include Kuranda beds, blankets, crates, playpens, enrichment items.
