Financial health

We do not score finances when yearly spending is very small or the return has too little detail. The ratios stop meaning much at that size.

Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (3)
  1. $7,850 spent. Program Service #1: Historic Hastings Car Show This free, family-friendly event is held monthly during the summer and attracts thousands of attendees to Downtown Hastings. The event showcases hundreds of classic cars along the main streen of downtown Hastings and features food vendors, music, and activities for all ages. In 2025, the event series drew over 10,000 visitors in total and supported dozens of local businesses. Branded merchandise was created to commemorate the event and sold to raise funds for future programming.
  2. $16,450 spent. Holiday Lighting of Downtown In coordination with downtown building owners, the organization oversaw the planning and installation of extensive holiday lighting throughout the historic district. This included rooftop lighting across multiple buildings, illuminated snowflake decorations on lamp posts, and tree lighting in the city park. The display was launched during our Holiday Hoopla celebration on Small Business Saturday and remained installed throughout the winter season, creating a festive and welcoming environment for residents and visitors. The program supports local economic vitality, encourages tourism, and contributes to the beautification of Hastings historic downtown.
  3. $4,429 spent. Ice Sculptures In January, the organization hosts a winter attraction featuring custom-designed ice sculptures created by a professional local sculptor. Four large, photo-friendly sculptures are strategically placed throughout the downtown area to draw foot traffic and encourage community interaction during the winter season. This event supports local tourism, enhances visibility for nearby businesses, and contributes to a vibrant downtown atmosphere during the colder months.
