Knights of Columbus
Public records show a registered, tax-exempt organization in good standing.
What it says it does
The primary purposes of the Knights of Columbus are charity, fraternity, unity and patriotism. As a subordinate lodge, the Council makes charitable gifts from funds mainly provided by member dues and fundraising events. Fraternity is pursued through social events and members working together on Council activities. Unity is promoted by the requirement that all members must be practicing Catholics. Patriotism is a shared value of all members. See Schedule O for explanatory comments regarding "program services."

Financial health
We do not score finances when yearly spending is very small or the return has too little detail. The ratios stop meaning much at that size.

Impact evidence
Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.
Programs described in its return (3)
- See Schedule O response to this Part III regarding program services.
- Our council sponsored and conducted a "shred day" allowing parishioners and others to bring sensitive documents and other recyclable paper to the parking lot of our parish for on-site shredding by an independent contractor. Revenue from the event consists of free-will offerings from participants.
- The Council does not conduct "program services" as defined in the instructions to Form 990. Its mission, as described in Part III, is accomplished through fund-raising activities as described on Schedule G and other fraternal activities that are not dependent on outside sources of revenues. Contributions received are generally from unsolicited sources, such as memorial gifts from families of deceased members and the one-time bequest received during fiscal 2026 and listed on Schedule B to this Form 990.
