Programs described in its return (2)
  1. $4.2 million spent. THE BRENT ELEY FOUNDATION (DBA BRENT'S PLACE) PROVIDES LONG-TERM, COST- FREE, MEDICALLY SAFE HOUSING AND COMPREHENSIVE SUPPORT FOR FAMILIES OF PEDIATRIC AND ADULT PATIENTS UNDERGOING TREATMENT FOR LIFE-THREATENING ILLNESSES AT LEADING HOSPITALS IN THE DENVER METRO AREA. STABLE HOUSING REMOVES ONE OF THE BIGGEST BARRIERS FAMILIES FACE WHEN RELOCATING FOR TREATMENT: THE UNCERTAINTY OF WHERE TO LIVE. BY ELIMINATING HOUSING INSECURITY, BRENT'S PLACE CREATES A FOUNDATION WHERE HEALING CAN TAKE ROOT FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY-EMOTIONALLY, PHYSICALLY, AND FINANCIALLY. SEE SCHEDULE O FOR MORE DETAILS.
  2. DURING 2025, BRENT'S PLACE PROVIDED OVER 23,400 NIGHTS OF HOUSING AND WAS A LIFELINE FOR 444 FAMILIES FACING LIFE-THREATENING MEDICAL CRISES, THE MOST FAMILIES SERVED IN A SINGLE YEAR IN OUR HISTORY. THESE FAMILIES RELOCATED FROM 18 STATES, WITH 78% TRAVELING OVER 100 MILES TO ACCESS WORLD-CLASS MEDICAL CARE THAT OFTEN WAS THE BEST CHANCE FOR SURVIVAL. MANY ARRIVED IN FINANCIAL DISTRESS, WITH 54% REPORTING ANNUAL HOUSEHOLD INCOMES UNDER 50,000, AND ALL WERE IN CRISIS AS THEY NAVIGATED UNFAMILIAR SYSTEMS, DEVASTATING DIAGNOSES, AND THE EMOTIONAL STRAIN OF EXTENDED MEDICAL TREATMENT FAR FROM HOME. AT THE END OF 2025, A TOTAL OF 72 LONG-TERM RESIDENT APARTMENTS AND 6 SHORT-TERM HOSPITALITY SUITES WERE OPERATIONAL. IN ADDITION TO OUR TWO- FACILITY PEDIATRIC CAMPUS, WE PROVIDE ADULT PATIENT FAMILIES WITH ACCESS TO COMPARABLE ACCOMMODATIONS FULLY MAINTAINED AND OPERATED BY BRENT'S PLACE WITHIN A RESIDENTIAL APARTMENT PROPERTY NEAR OUR PARTNER HOSPITALS. OUR FULLY FURNISHED APARTMENTS OFFER PRIVACY, STABILITY, AND A SENSE OF NORMALCY DURING LIFE-SAVING MEDICAL TREATMENT, ALLOWING FAMILIES TO MAINTAIN ROUTINES, CELEBRATE MILESTONES, AND SIMPLY BE TOGETHER WHEN IT MATTERS MOST. WHILE CARING FOR AN ACUTELY ILL LOVED-ONE IS CHALLENGING UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE, DOING SO WITHOUT THE COMFORTS OF HOME CAN BE DEVASTATING. BRENT'S PLACE SUPPORTED FAMILIES WITH MORE THAN JUST HOUSING-WE DELIVERED STABILITY, COMMUNITY, AND HOPE. THANKS TO OUR COMMUNITY-FUNDED MODEL, WE PROVIDED RELIABLE, MEDICALLY SAFE ACCOMMODATIONS AT NO COST TO FAMILIES, WITHOUT ANY LENGTH-OF-STAY RESTRICTIONS. EVERY CAREGIVER-PARENTS, SIBLINGS, SPOUSES, CHILDREN, GRANDPARENTS, AND FRIENDS-WAS WELCOMED AND SUPPORTED WITH COMPASSION AND CARE. BEYOND HOUSING, BRENT'S PLACE SURROUNDS EACH FAMILY WITH INDIVIDUALIZED, TRAUMA-INFORMED WRAPAROUND SERVICES DESIGNED TO EASE EMOTIONAL, PHYSICAL, AND FINANCIAL STRAIN. IN 2025, THIS SUPPORT INCLUDED 1,900 PROGRAMS REACHING MORE THAN 31,000 PARTICIPANTS. FAMILIES RECEIVE NOURISHING MEALS, ACCESS TO A MODEST ONSITE FOOD PANTRY, HOSPITAL MEAL DELIVERY, WELLNESS PROGRAMMING, CAREGIVER RESOURCES, AND CUSTOMIZED SOLUTIONS FROM OUR FAMILY SUPPORT TEAM-ENSURING THEY HAVE WHAT THEY NEED FROM THE DAY THEY ARRIVE THROUGH THEIR ENTIRE MEDICAL JOURNEY. BRENT'S PLACE ALLOWS FAMILIES TO UNDERTAKE A TEMPORARY RELOCATION TOGETHER IN ORDER TO ACCESS WORLD-CLASS MEDICAL CARE, SERVING AS A CRUCIAL SAFETY NET FOR A RECORD NUMBER OF PATIENTS. AT BRENT'S PLACE, FAMILIES FIND MORE THAN A PLACE TO STAY; THEY FIND A WELCOMING COMMUNITY THAT UNDERSTANDS THEIR JOURNEY. THROUGH SHARED MEALS, GROUP ACTIVITIES, VOLUNTEER SUPPORT, AND ORGANIC PEER CONNECTIONS, FAMILIES DRAW STRENGTH AND HOPE FROM ONE ANOTHER. THIS SUPPORTIVE ENVIRONMENT REDUCES ISOLATION, BUILDS RESILIENCE, AND HELPS FAMILIES NAVIGATE THEIR HARDEST MOMENTS WITH COURAGE AND COMPANIONSHIP.
