Programs described in its return (2)
  1. $15,795 spent. Building, maintaining, and improving Anacortes Skate Parks in cooperation with the City of Anacortes, lessening the financial and administrative burden on the Anacortes City government related to local Skate Park building and maintenance. Skate parks are a positive outlet which instill strong values like work versus reward, determination, community building, and having fun, while creating a sense of well being and healthy outlets to blow off steam. The Skate Park is a gathering place and even a second home for families and people of all ages who love skateboarding and other action sports. Quality skate parks are a location for skate classes, events, community fundraisers, and a place to find community and friendship.
  2. $2,368 spent. Supporting events, workshops, and classes at the Anacortes Skate Parks in cooperation with the Parks and Recreation Department of the City of Anacortes, making the world a happier place through skateboarding. These activities also lessen the burden on the Anacortes City Parks and Recreation Department, reduces delinquency, and builds community.
