What it says it does

THE JOSEPHINE LILLY WOLF FOUNDATION WAS FORMED IN 2016 IN HONOR OF JOSEPHINE LILLY WOLF. IT WAS CREATED TO BRING HOPE WHERE LITTLE HOPE EXISTS. THE GOAL OF THE FOUNDATION IS TO HAVE A PROFOUNDLY POSITIVE IMPACT ON JAMAICAN YOUTH AND SHARE JOSEPHINE'S LOVE FOR EDUCATION BY PROVIDING FULL TUITION SCHOLARSHIPS TO GRADUATING STUDENTS OF MANNING'S HIGH SCHOOL. THE SUCCESS OF OUR FOUNDATION WILL BE MEASURED BY IMPROVEMENTS IN THE QUALITY OF LIFE OF SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS, AND THEIR SELECTION OF SERVICE-ORIENTED CAREERS THAT WILL POSITIVELY IMPACT SOCIAL JUSTICE IN JAMAICA.

Financial health

We do not score finances when yearly spending is very small or the return has too little detail. The ratios stop meaning much at that size.

Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (1)
  1. $119,222 spent. IN 2025, THE JOSEPHINE LILLY WOLF MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP FOUNDATION (JLWMSF) CONTINUED ITS WORK OF PROVIDING COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS TO HIGH-ACHIEVING STUDENTS OF MANNING'S (HIGH) SCHOOL, LOCATED IN WESTMORELAND, JAMAICA. WE ADDED TWO NEW STUDENTS IN 2025, BOTH OF WHOM ARE CURRENTLY ATTENDING THE UNIVERSITY OF WEST INDIES IN JAMAICA. WITH THOSE ADDITIONS, OUR TOTAL NUMBER OF CURRENT AND PRIOR SUPPORTED STUDENTS IS TWENTY-THREE. OUR NEW STUDENTS ARE STUDYING LAW AND ACCOUNTING. LIKE OUR PRIOR STUDENTS, OUR CLASS OF 2025 WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN ABLE TO ATTEND COLLEGE WITHOUT THE SUPPORT OF OUR FOUNDATION. IN 2025 WE GRADUATED FOUR MORE STUDENTS, BRINGING OUR TOTAL NUMBER OF GRADUATES TO ELEVEN. IN 2025 WE HELD OUR SIXTH ANNUAL GOLF TOURNAMENT FUNDRAISER. WE AGAIN HAD THIRTY-SIX REGISTERED TEAMS, AND MANY MORE PEOPLE JOINED FOR DINNER AND GAMES. THE FUNDRAISER WAS SUCCESSFUL. WE RAISED APPROXIMATELY 28,000, WHICH WAS USED TO SUPPORT NEW AND EXISTING STUDENTS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. AT THE END OF 2025, HURRICANE MELISSA DEVASTATED JAMAICA. MELISSA IMPACTED THE AREA OF THE ISLAND WHERE MOST OF OUR STUDENTS WERE BORN AND RAISED, AND MANY OF THEM LOST OR SUFFERED SEVERE DAMAGE TO THEIR FAMILY HOMES. IN RESPONSE, OUR FOUNDATION RAISED OVER 24,000 IN HURRICANE RELIEF, WHICH WE DISBURSED IN EARLY 2026. THIS WAS A SPECIAL FUNDRAISING EFFORT AND NOT SOMETHING WE HAD DONE BEFORE. IN 2025 WE REPLACED ONE OF OUR BOARD MEMBERS AND THAT WAS OUR ONLY STRUCTURAL CHANGE.
