Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Programs described in its return (3)
  1. $72,095 spent. Higher Education - In November 2024, Daya International celebrated the college graduation of 25 Daya scholars! A total of 104 students are currently pursuing further educational learning / degrees in Nepal. 18 additional students were selected for support for this school year. These students receive educational support, life skills and vocational training, career development counseling, and computer training.
  2. $10,119 spent. Girls and Tech Training - The GTT initiative reached 118 girls this past year from grades 8 through 11 at 2 different government schools! The program successfully achieved the goal of empowering young girls in rural Nepal to confidently utilize computer skills. They learned how to use basic operation, skill of keyboard and programming concepts. Daya International also purchased and donated 5 computers to one of these rural schools, to support their continued technological learning. Art therapy sessions were also introduced at the elementary and middle school level, at the same school sites, with 50 students (both boys and girls) participating.
  3. $13,765 spent. Vision Trip - Daya International hosted a Vision Trip in Nepal for 6 of its supporters. This trip connected the supporters to some of the students, attend a graduation ceremony and witness the culture and living environments of these people we love. Through this trip, Daya International's hope is for its supporters to learn more about the impact and opportunities that education can bring to the marginalized women and youth in Nepal.
