Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (3)
  1. $9,240 spent. Hosted 42 house meetings attended by approximately 400 people to build community power to address affordable housing problems and improve the civil citation program. These meetings resulted in a combined action meeting on May 6, 2025, of over 700 people to ask county commissioners to allocate parcels of surplus land to a community land trust. Then these parcels are available to be developed into affordable housing for residents living below 80% of area median income.
  2. $5,560 spent. Send 14 members of clergy and local community leaders to training seminars by the DART center, to promote and continue action on community justice initiatives, in fulfillment of Micah 6:8.
  3. $2,130 spent. Host Community Problem Assembly on October 25, 2025, with over 250 people, to discuss three or more community justice problems, and to select the issue of rising mental health problems in Escambia County to be our primary focus in the years 2026 and 2027, without abandoning previous initiatives in affordable housing and civil citations.
