Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (1)
  1. $47,700 spent. OUR ANNUAL BASIC AND PRACTITIONER MBT TRAINING WAS THE MAJOR SERVICE EVENT OF THE YEAR. THIS IS A COMBINED EVENT IN WHICH THE BASIC TRAINING IS HELD ON THE FIRST THREEE DAYS OF THE FOUR-DAY TRAINING AND THE PRACTITIONER TRAINING ON THE LAST TWO DAYS OF THE FOUR-DAY TRAINING - THE TRAININGS, WHILE SEPARATE EVENTS, RUN CONCURRENTLY ON THE THIRD DAY. THIS TRAINING IS OF SIGNIFICANCE BECAUSE IT IS ONE OF ONLY TWO OFFERED IN THE UNITED STATES (U.S.) ANNUALLY, AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, IT IS THE ONLY IN-PERSON TRAINING LED BY THE CREATOR OF MBT, PROF. ANTHONY BATEMAN, WHO TRAVELS FROM THE UNITED KINGDOM (U.K.) TO JOIN U.S. BOARD MEMBERS AND MI FACULTY CO-TEACH AND FACILITATE SMALL GROUP ACTIVITIES. TWENTY-NINE PEOPLE ATTENDED THE BASIC, TWENTY-FIVE FROM THE U.S. AND FOUR FROM EUROPE OR CANADA. ELEVEN ATTENDED THE PRACTITIONER COURSE; ALL FROM THE U.S. COST OF THE EVENT (VENUE, CATERING, HONORARIA, TRAVEL EXPENSES AND TEACHING MATERIALS) WAS COVERED ENTIRELY BY REGISTRATION FEES. OF THOSE ATTENDING THE EVENT, 12% WENT ON TO PURSUE ADVANCED TRAINING IN THE FORM OF GROUP SUPERVISION WITH MI FACULTY. WITH THE RECENT UPDATING OF OUR WEBSITE AND THE ADDITION OF NEW DATA COLLECTING PLATFORMS, WE HOPE TO TRACK THE ONGOING PURSUITS AND USE OF MBT IN OUR ATTENDEES. EXPANSION OF OUR VOLUNTEER BOARD IN 2024 AND THE HIRING OF AN ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT IN EARLY 2025 HAVE PAVED THE WAY FOR ALREADY EXPANDED OFFERINGS IN 2025 AND FURTHER EXPANSION IN 2026. THESE INCLUDE A WEBINAR SERIES AIMING TO BRING THE "COMMUNITY" OF MBT-ERS TOGETHER FOR CONTINUED LEARNING, AND OTHER APPLICATIONS OF MBT TO FAMILIES/COUPLES AND ADOLESCENTS. PARTNERSHIPS IN EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES WITH SILVER HILL HOSPITAL (NEW CANAAN, CT), LINDNER CENTER OF HOPE (COLUMBUS, OH), AND ELLENHORN LLC (LOS ANGELES, CA) SUPPORT COLLABORATION IN EDUCATIONAL EFFORTS AND EXPAND OUR REACH TO POTENTIAL LEARNERS.
