Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (3)
  1. $13,485 spent. International students were hosted at our campus in Chapala, Mexico for four months as they learned in a classroom setting how to serve children currently living in an orphanage setting. They then put what they have learned into practice with a guided internship, actively serving children in an orphanage. Number of persons benefitted: 25
  2. $2,543 spent. 235 people attended Oak Lifes annual TBRI conference designed to teach orphanage staff and Mexican government employees serving vulnerable children how to use Trust-Based Relational Intervention - a trauma-informed care method - in their work. The conference was live-streamed and attended by orphanages in 10 different North and South American countries. Estimated persons benefitted: 2,100.
  3. $3,312 spent. Orphanages were hosted and trained in private, 3-day sessions, with individualized instruction. Courses included trauma-informed care, evidence-based administration, healthy leadership and writing policies and procedures. Follow-up services were also provided for maximum retention and integration of information learned. Number of persons benefitted: 135.
