What it says it does
Our mission is to provide meaningful training and employment opportunities for women with disabilities in the eco-fashion industry. We teach practical skills such as serging sewing pressing and product construction to help our team create one-of-a-kind upcycled home goods like blankets tote bags and keepsakes using preconsumer fabric scraps that would otherwise go to landfills. In addition to production we run vocational programs for special education high school students and transition-age youth ages 1821 helping them build career-readiness skills and explore their creative potential. We also distribute unused fabric through giveaways to support other non-profits and local quilters designers and students encouraging sustainable textile reuse in our community.

Financial health
We do not score finances when yearly spending is very small or the return has too little detail. The ratios stop meaning much at that size.

Governance
This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Programs described in its return (3)
- $25,574 spent. Employment Program for Women with Disabilities - Our employment program aims to create an inclusive and equitable workplace for women with disabilities while building a foundation for success in the broader job market. In 2024 we employed 4 women with disabilities providing 690 hours of gainful employment at a fair wage through work in our sewing studio. During this time our designers created 231 unique pieces for sale resulting in 543 pounds of fabric diverted from landfills. This program was supported by 6 volunteers who contributed a combined 358 hours of assistance throughout the year. Expenses for this employment program reflect only the direct time spent in the sewing studio.
- $9,685 spent. Vocational Training Program for Special Education Students - Expanding the reach of our employment mission the vocational training program provides job training opportunities to high school and transition-age students with intellectual disabilities. In 2024 we partnered with 5 local school districts offering support to 57 students through bi-monthly community-based sessions. We delivered 456 hours of vocational training and mentorship which included 268 hours of direct mentorship provided by our employment program participants. To further support the students 6 volunteers per session contributed to the programs success offering a combined total of 158 volunteer hours. This cross-program collaboration enhances both the employment programs goal of professional development and the vocational programs focus on job readiness for students. Expenses for the vocational program include the time invested by our mentors 268 hours as well as other program staffing and materials.
- $5,972 spent. Fabric Waste Diversion Program - Our fabric waste diversion program addresses sustainability by repurposing materials that would otherwise be destined for landfills. In 2024 our sewing studio diverted 554 pounds of fabric through direct repurposing efforts. Additionally our fabric pop-ups repurposed 605 pounds of fabric connecting local artists and nonprofits with sustainable materials. This program supports the environment while also furthering our employment and vocational objectives by offering valuable training opportunities in retail management visual merchandising and customer service for both paid employees and vocational students.
