Governance
This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

- $49,468 spent. During the 2024-2025 season, VCNJ performed three major works: our December concert featured the popular "Gloria" by Antonio Vivaldi's along with an array of sacred and secular works celebrating the holiday season. We were joined by high school singers from The Trenton Children's Chorus who sang the "Gloria" with us and treated the audience to several selections. In May 2025, we presented Mozart's "Requiem," famously left incomplete at his death. Rather than the widely known completion by Franz Xaver Süssmayr, which contains numerous harmonic and orchestral inaccuracies, we performed the more recent completion by Robert Levin which adheres more closely to Mozart's style. In addition, we presented the local premiere of Brazilian composer José Maurício Nunes Garcia's (1767-1830) "Requiem." Nunes Garcia led the first performance of Mozart's Requiem in Brazil and then used the work as a model for his own setting a few years later. A fascinating juxtaposition for our performers and audience. All three major works were performed with orchestra. The 2025 year was the third year since the relaunch of the Young Composers Project; it was a great success. Voices sponsors the Young Composers Project (YCP), which provides the opportunity for children aged 5-12 to learn music composition skills by participating in a workshop led by a professional composer who critiques their work and gives helpful, age-appropriate guidance. VCNJ performs each child's composition at a special concert for the children and their families.
