Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (2)
  1. $48,234 spent. Training and Speakers. Training to community members and providing speakers for community training events comprise the largest part of the DCPT activity. Speakers on and training in active bystander intervention, nonviolent skills, anti-racism, peace education for children and families and restorative justice are regularly offered by the organization. Almost 2,500 people were trained in 2024. Participants pay what they can for training.
  2. $50,698 spent. Unarmed civilian protection deployment and accompaniment is the second major program of DCPT. 3,064 hours have been served in deployment since August 2021. Training in this nonviolent approach to civilian protection and deployment aims to protect civilians in situations of violent conflict, imminent violence, and post-crisis situations-and create space for peace initiatives.
