Programs described in its return (1)
- $640,155 spent. The WNYCFSA serves as a coalition of more than 48 partner agencies, collaborating to provide essential resources and advocacy for farmworkers and migrant populations. These groups, many of whom are undocumented or recent arrivals to the United States, face significant challenges including housing insecurity, language barriers, and lack of access to healthcare and legal support. Our organization works to bridge these gaps, helping individuals and families access essential services while also advocating for equal rights and fair treatment within the agricultural sector and other low-wage industries. (Continued on Schedule O)Program Specifics:The Coalition has grown into a network of 48 partner organizations across six counties in Western NY (Cattaraugus, Erie, Genesee, Niagara, Orleans, Wyoming) and four counties in the Finger Lakes (Monroe, Livingston, Ontario, Wayne) regions.1. Outreach and Advocacy Program - Through our on-the-ground efforts, we have reached over 10,000 people with vital information on immigration protections, workplace rights, and pesticide safety. Our team also runs a hotline that connects individuals in crisis to emergency shelter, food, and other basic needs.2. Support Services Program - We provide comprehensive case management for farmworkers, migrant families, and newcomers, helping them navigate resources and build stability as they resettle in their communities. We have supported individuals addressing urgent needs such as legal representation, housing assistance, and healthcare access. Through assessments and personalized action plans, our team connects clients to local agencies and ensures they receive the wraparound services they need. Guided by a trauma-informed approach, we not only respond to immediate crises but also strengthen pathways to long-term stability and self-sufficiency.3. Immigration Legal Services Program - Our Program supports survivors of labor trafficking through direct legal representation and holistic, client-centered case management. In addition to guiding clients through the process of reporting to authorities, our legal team has assisted individuals with critical immigration relief, including T Visa applications, Deferred Action, Adjustment of Status, Temporary Protected Status (TPS), and Naturalization. In December 2024, the Coalition achieved DOJ Recognition as an authorized legal service provider, an important milestone that expanded our ability to assist with asylum applications, employment authorization, and other essential immigration petitions. Our Executive Director and Program Director also received their DOJ Accreditation. This recognition strengthens our capacity to help immigrant families pursue legal status and long-term protection, reaffirming our mission to uphold justice, dignity, and empowerment for all.4. Community Engagement - The Coalition fosters strong regional collaboration by coordinating monthly meetings with its network of 48 partner organizations. These meetings serve as a platform for resource sharing, collective problem-solving, and coordinated advocacy efforts. As part of our commitment to building community capacity, the Coalition also provides specialized training to partner organizations and government agencies on identifying labor trafficking, understanding legal remedies, and navigating appropriate referral pathways.
