Gcs Project
Public records show a registered, tax-exempt organization in good standing.
What it says it does
The GCSproject maintains an informational website (www.gcsproject.org) that provides information and support to women and their families who have a diagnosis of GCS cancer. In addition the organization raises funds to support dedicated GCS cancer research. As a very rare form of ovarian cancer there is limited support for such basic research and the GCSproject hopes to help close that gap.

Financial health
We do not score finances when yearly spending is very small or the return has too little detail. The ratios stop meaning much at that size.

Governance
This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Impact evidence
Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.
Programs described in its return (2)
- $1,699 spent. The GCSproject continues it's primary mission of providing support and information to women and their families seeking information on this rare cancer via our web site.
- The secondary purpose off the GCSproject is to raise funds to support dedicated research into this rare cancer. $179,000 was provided to the Cancer Center at University of Alabama in 2020. $200,000 was provided to U of Alabama in 2023 for research into GCS reoccurrence. We continue to raise funds that need to reach a sufficient level to support such medical research. No funds were provided for such research during 2024 or 2025. We expect to make a GCS medical research support grant in 2026 and to enhance the value of our web site with additional paid clinical support.
