Programs described in its return (2)
- $374,175 spent. During 2025 Low Rider rescued 246 dogs and provided veterinary services and re-homing placement services
- Low Rider Dachshund Rescue of Florida Inc was created in 2017 to protect and foster dachshund mixes who are in danger. The rescue receives and fosters those dogs whos owners cannot or will not care for them any longer, or who are in danger of euthanization in a Florida shelter. All dogs are placed in a colunteer foster home, they are then fully vetted, including spaying/neutering, dentals, surgeries of any type needed or recommended by our veterinarians, and are given love, training, and encouragement until a suitable forever home is found. We place many special needs dogs, including those who are not able to walk without the use of a cart, blind, deaf, or emotionally challenged. Many dogs are heartworm positive, needing extensive and costly heartworm treatment.
