Programs described in its return (3)
- $40,000 spent. Youth Leadership Program is is a program that is kid-driven lead by our youth leaders in the Toledo OH area with youth ambassadors throughout the country. While the kids create the ideas and make the decisions they are guided by adult mentors with experience working with non-profits. Our goal for our #KC4K leaders is to create self-awareness of their own abilities and power to be able to make a positive impact on the world through the pillars of Leadership Compassion Commitment and Contribution.
- $25,000 spent. Our Patient Support Program offers support to kiddos and their families facing rare disease specifically HPP. #PainBoxes are customized care packages offering an incentive program and encouragement specifically By Kids for Kids. Through peer care and compassion our patients develop resilience strength courage trust and family unity during critical treatment that can restore joy and wellness. We also focus not only on the patient but on the patients entire family. Through our Patient Support Program we help the patient by also helping the family. Our kid patients tell us that the encouragement and support coming from other kids who understand what theyre going through is what gives them the determination and strength to get through their treatments.
- Our Patient Support Program expanded into Nationwide Childrens Hospital of Toledo with our CareBox Pilot Program with a Rotary of Toledo grant. Also we were a finalist for our Sylvania Chamber of Commerces Nonprofit of the Year award. We were selected for a pilot program as a community partner with HCNO after a professional evaluation and exploration with a large grant from Toledo Community Foundation.
