Financial health

We do not score finances when yearly spending is very small or the return has too little detail. The ratios stop meaning much at that size.

Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (6)
  1. Angie:Lost Girls - we continued to market the previously released feature. It is seen through online VOD purchases and other avenues.
  2. Artists for Change was a fiscal sponsor for the film production of Ghost Divers (2021). The film hopes to inform and inspire audiences to promote ocean conservation, shark preservation, and expose human exploitation.
  3. $3,105 spent. Awareness - Artists for Change held gatherings every 1 to 2 months, bringing people together to discover more about our nonprofit, meet like-minded individuals, and fundraise through silent auctions and T-shirt sales.
  4. MAYA - We continued the post-production and obtaining distribution for our second narrative feature, MAYA. The film was created to raise awareness on the fast growing global problem of child trafficking. MAYA also raises awareness on key social issues such as the negative effect of domestic violence in the home, dangers of alcoholism, and child abuse. When a teenager, seeking escape from her alcoholic mother's abusive boyfriend, is lured into a trafficking scheme, she must realize the difference between love and manipulation to return to those who truly care. This year we focused on fundraising for the marketing and release of this film as well as prepping marketing and social media assets to support it.
  5. We acted as a fiscal sponsor for the social impact short film, ROBIN, which addresses the short-term and long-term effects of bullying on teens, tackling a relevant and significant social issue. We assisted the director in bringing together a cast and crew as well as producing the shoot.
  6. Raindance Film Festival - We provided fiscal sponsorship to establish a dedicated social impact strand at the renowned Raindance Film Festival. This initiative aimed to shine a spotlight on films tackling pressing social issues, giving them the visibiliy they deserve.
