Financial health

Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (2)
  1. $1,950 spent. Our organization created a program called "Pull Your Pants Up" where we were sponsored by Bowies State University and taught students the importance of keeping their pants up around their waist and we distributed belts to all the youth participants. We showed two videos on how the term "Sagging" was derived from prison indicating that a person who was wearing their pants hanging off below their butts were suggestion they were available for sexual favors with other inmates and how its a form of disrespect to themselves and the community
  2. $48,326 spent. Our organization created a curriculum called "Knowing Your Rights and Engaging in the Legislative Process" where we taught disenfranchised youth how to exercise their 4th 5th and 6th amendment rights when encountering law enforcement and police officers. This program focus was on stopping those encounters from becoming confrontational and physically or verbally confrontational. The Legislative Process taught the youth the importance of voting and how to register to vote. We taught the youth how to create bills that become law and how to locate and identify their local representatives such as their Senators Delegates and Council Members and Mayors
