This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Programs described in its return (1)
  1. $74,093 spent. Give 828 began in 2018 with a vision from YBGB Institute founder Ebonie Johnson Cooper to have a giving day dedicated to Black grassroots nonprofits. As with many ideas started on a shoestring budget year one of Give 828 yielded results comparable to its guerilla approach. Yet there was energy from the 114 participants and hope etched into the $12,700 the organizations collectively raised. In year two Give 828 partnered with the crowdfunding platform Mightycause to provide an invaluable infrastructure to the day. Now in its 8th year Give 8 28 has united over 7,000 donors and supported more than 1,300 Black-led nonprofits raising over $1 million to address critical social impact needs.
