Programs described in its return (1)
  1. $496,141 spent. In 2025 The Clothesline provided 2,390 full wardrobes of clothing to low-income school children in Arlington VA up roughly 5% from 2024. In total these wardrobes included over 62,000 items of clothing given away completely free-of charge. As key components of these wardrobes The Clothesline provided over 2,000 pairs of shoes and winter coats to keep kids comfortable and warm in school and on the playground. Additionally we also include new underwear and socks shirts pants shorts bras and other items that kids need to feel confident at school and focus on their education. Kids pick out the clothes themselves by appointment in our attractively designed store that conveys dignity and respect to these families. Our services are only possible thanks to the support of the Arlington community through their donations of clothing funding and volunteer time.
