Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (2)
  1. $435,375 spent. PRS Food Support Programs are a critical lifeline to approximately 20% of PRV residents annually who struggle to make ends meet amidst rising costs of living and stagnant incomes. Over the last year, our programs included backpack projects for Ignacio and Bayfield schools, monthly Food Shares, USDA Commodities distributions, and a new project that supplied 18 weeks of fresh Community Farm produce to seniors. All together these programs provided emergency food support to 31,000 residents despite dramatic funding cuts to our food programs that totaled over $35,000.
  2. $30,720 spent. Resource Sharing and Mutual Aid are important sources of economic support when household budgets are tight. More than 600 people visit our Freecycle thrift shop for free gently used clothing and house wares each year. We distributed over $25,000 in emergency financial assistance to help residents with past due energy and utilities bills, and gas cards to get to work or medical appointments. Most recently, we worked with the Red Cross to house Vallecito flood evacuees.
