Governance

Impact evidence
Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.
Programs described in its return (3)
- $35,618 spent. Provide instruction in historic dance forms from the 18th through the 20th century through themed events and workshops. There are no prerequisites for participation. Participants are introduced to the dance forms, and in the process enhance their social skills and physical and mental health. These events benefit from 65-150 individuals.
- $9,345 spent. Through a series of weekly dance classes participants are introduced to a wide variety of English Country Dance forms dating from the 17th through the current century. The classes emphasize style and form and often include more complicated dances than can be included at our monthly events. These classes are intended for individuals who have mastered the basics movements of ECD and are interested in furthering their knowledge. Some classes require a more advanced skill level, and some are intended for individuals interested in leading or choreographing dances. Participation in these classes varies but averages 25-35 individuals.
- $2,625 spent. Public dances intended to introduce English Country Dance to a population which was unaware of the existence of the art form. These events include an instructor or instructors (callers) and teach simplified dances in the ECD style, introducing participants to the terminology and movements needed. Participation varies greatly but can often exceeds 100 individuals, many of whom begin attending our monthly or weekly events.
