Financial health

We do not score finances when yearly spending is very small or the return has too little detail. The ratios stop meaning much at that size.

Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (3)
  1. $25,063 spent. Hosting three (3) Aikido Kokikai Federation USA national camps. 1. Our annual Spring Camp which was located in Berlin NJ from April 4-6, 2025, and was attended by over 100 of our members. 2. Our annual Summer Camp which was located in Berlin NJ from August 1-3, 2025, and was attended by over 130 of our members. 3. Our annual Fall Camp which was located in Tempe AZ from Nov 14-16, 2025, and was attended by over 75 of our members.
  2. $5,833 spent. Membership Services: Fulfilling our mission statement to foster the growth of Aikido Kokikai in the US, through support and outreach to our Aikido Kokikai Federation dojo's and our membership via regular communication, newsletters and the tracking and maintenance of accurate rank testing and promotion lists. Our efforts resulted in growth of both the number of recognized dojos operating (30) and number of total active AKFUSA members (363) in 2025.
  3. Dojo Membership benefits: in 2025 we began investigating the feasibility of offering centralized martial arts insurance through the Aikido Kokikai Federation organization in order to benefit our dojo leaders and membership by offering this capability through the existing cost of membership. This could be a potential benefit to our dojo leaders through reduced costs in operating their dojos, while also supporting our membership through standardized training insurance coverage regardless of where they are training. The groundwork for this was begun during 2025 by creating a working group to identify if insurance providers existed to support our goals, and to analyze if the offered coverage was a good match to both the organization's and dojo leader's needs. To date the work is showing promise and is on track for being presented for consideration by the Aikido Kokikai Federation board of trustees in 2026.
