Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (5)
  1. $8,154 spent. In March 2024 our team traveled to Texistepeque El Salvador to strengthen and expand our Community Health Worker CHW program. We hosted over 10 meetings with CHW groups including interest sessions to plan for May and July trainings and follow-up meetings to provide continued support and advanced health education to existing CHWs. During this trip we also celebrated the certification of 3 new CHWs in La Y Griega marking the successful completion of a training program led by the existing CHWs in the Community.
  2. $11,941 spent. Our team implemented 3 new Community Health Worker CHW trainings in various communities in El Salvador. The first one was conducted in May where we trained 12 new CHWs in San Juan Nonualco El Salvador. This training was the culmination of a partnership and assessment meeting that was held in March ensuring the training covered topics tailored to the specific needs of this community. While there our team also conducted an initial training for 24 new CHWs in San Pedro Martir and Las Delicias El Salvador. Our team then returned in July to train 7 CHWs in El Jute El Salvador. This was a group we have been working closely with since 2022 and we were finally able to implement the training. Overall our team trained 43 new CHWs in El Salvador for 2024.
  3. $11,433 spent. Our trainers travelled to Rus Rus Honduras in September to implement an Advanced Maternal Health training for the Community Health Worker group we initially trained in 2021. These dedicated individuals living in extremely rural conditions have already begun applying their new skills to improve community health. During our visit the health workers organized a successful health event alongside a local soccer game where they measured blood pressure and provided health education to community members.
  4. $10,000 spent. This year we also expanded our training for our current community health workers substantially. We created a leadership training virtually for Haiti. We provided training materials to our Community Health Workers in Carrefour Haiti and worked to plan a virtual day-long training will focus on leadership development building confidence understanding behavior models and fostering empathy as key aspects of being effective community health workers. Additionally our team began implementing a new training program designed to equip Community Health Workers with the skills needed to enhance their leadership abilities and use those skills to initiate community health events. This course also aids local health workers in developing communication skills understanding behavior change models and techniques and strengthening their group support within the community.
  5. $20,000 spent. In addition to all the new projects that we did this year our team provided greater support to the over 600 community health workers we have trained by not only sending training materials for their monthly group meetings but providing a set POC advanced materials monthly reports data analysis bi-annual surveys and regular group leader checkins. This ensures our organization is about to help trouble shoot any issues the groups face and sets the groups up for long term sustainability.
