Financial health

We do not score finances when yearly spending is very small or the return has too little detail. The ratios stop meaning much at that size.

Governance

This return does not answer enough of the governance questions to score.

Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (3)
  1. $39,224 spent. Dillon Convention Visitors Bureau operated on an annual contractual basis with the MT Department of Commerce, where we received the quarterly reimbursements from Bed-Tax Collections from the businesses within the city limits of Dillon who collect bed-tax, such as hotels/motels/short-term rentals/campgrounds. These reimbursements are used for marketing purposes for Dillon, and our office executes on the marketing buys.
  2. $10,200 spent. The Beaverhead Treasure Hunt is an annual summertime geo-scavenger hunt in Beaverhead County. We partner with UMW Glass Arts Program and the students decide on the glass paper weight theme and produce 200 of them by Memorial Day each year. Then, we hide the paper weights in Beaverhead County businesses for them to be found from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Folks text a selfie to the Chamber to be entered into a drawing to win 100 in Chamber Bucks.
  3. $1,128 spent. Chamber Bucks is a voucher program that is provided to winners of raffles, decorating contests, or parade floats. Chamber members are reimbursed at .97 and non-Chamber members are reimbursed at .95. It is a very small program but mostly used as a way to get folks to Shop Local.
