LIVING STONES IS DEDICATED TO TACKLING FOOD INSECURITY BY RESCUING FOOD FROM HEALTH CERTIFIED INSTITUTIONS THAT WOULD OTHERWISE THROW IT OUT, AND PROVIDING NOURISHING MEALS TO ALL WHO JOIN US. WE CREATE A WELCOMING ENVIRONMENT WHERE BOTH STRANGERS AND FRIENDS CAN COME TOGETHER AROUND A TABLE. LIVING STONES HAS RESCUED MORE THAN 14,000 POUNDS OF FOOD EACH YEAR. ALL OF THE FOOD WE RESCUE AND PREPARE IS EATEN ON SITE OR TAKEN AWAY IN TO-GO CONTAINERS, AND NO FOOD IS WASTED.
- $50,116 spent. MY MONDAY THING - A POPULAR PROGRAM ALL ABOUT PROVIDING NEIGHBORS WITH AN OPPORTUNITY FOR MORE THAN THE FOOD AND FELLOWSHIP THEY ENJOY AT OUR SUNDAY MEALS. ADDITIONALLY, THEY HAVE ACCESS TO OUR FREE CLOTHING BOUTIQUE AND CAN PARTICIPATE IN CRAFT ACTIVITIES.

HEALTH AND HOME - TO HELP OUR NEIGHBORS MAINTAIN GOOD HEALTH AND LIVE SAFELY, OUR PART-TIME COMMUNITY HEALTH WORKER, WHO IS PRESENT AT ALL OUR MEALS AND PROGRAMS, IS RESPONSIBLE FOR CONNECTING PEOPLE WITH RESOURCES BEYOND WHAT WE CAN OFFER, INCLUDING HOUSING, SAFETY, AND FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE. THE COMMUNITY HEALTH WORKER ALSO SERVES AS OUR COMMUNITY OUTREACH COORDINATOR, AND IS RESPONSIBLE FOR UNDERSTANDING THE NEEDS AND PRAYERS OF OUR NEIGHBORS AND FOLLOWING UP WITH THEM WHEN NEEDED.
