The Arts Council exists to enrich the lives of the citizens of North Central West Virginia are by bringing arts and people together. As the leaadership organzation for the arts, the Council fulfulls its mission in several ways: by supporting our member organizations in promoting artistic opportunities, by providing financial support and forstering coordinated cultural planning; by offering programs to educate and develop future audiences; by providing forums of expresssion for local artists; and by advocating for arts and its member organizations at the local, state and national levels.

- Through 2024 the organization held multiple events promoting different arts in crafts including a monehtly Yarnists club at the Lewis Bennett Public Library. Held a Christmas cookie decorating class on Decemebr 5th, 2024. The organization worked with a local cofee shop and local muscians for free Open Mic nights. The organization held spoken work petry readings. Partnered with the Lewis County Community Choir to promote membership for their organization. Worked with the City of Weston to install a hand built Mothman at a local park. Worked with the Weston Fire Department for crafts for kids during their 4th of July event, including painting on a large canvas. The organization hosted a local artist exhibition at a local church. The organization cross promoted art and crafts from local artists and organizations such as the WV Jazz Society, Appalachian Oddities, The City of Weston, WV HEART House and more.
