Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (3)
  1. $165,000 spent. Walton Robotics Foundation supports student participation in FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) Team 1683. The foundation funded competition registration fees, robot and field-build supplies, and travel for student teams to compete in regional, district, state, and World Championship events including GRITS, Statesboro, Dalton, SCRIW, Districts (Macon), and the FIRST Championship in Houston. These activities help students develop engineering, programming, teamwork, leadership, and communication skills while inspiring STEM careers.
  2. $19,000 spent. The foundation supports a FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) student robotics team, providing equipment, registration fees, mentor and teacher coach support, and competition expenses. FTC introduces middle and high school students to engineering, programming, and teamwork through a smaller-scale robotics competition that serves as a pipeline for younger students to develop STEM skills before advancing to the FRC program.
  3. $5,051 spent. The foundation runs a summer robotics camp and a FIRST LEGO League (FLL) tournament that serve as STEM outreach to younger students in the community. The foundation also conducts Girls First and other community outreach events designed to broaden participation in STEM, particularly among underrepresented groups. These programs introduce elementary and middle school students to robotics and engineering concepts in a hands-on, accessible environment.
