Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (1)
  1. $283,401 spent. In 2024, Boys to Men Tucson (BTMT) experienced a historic year of growth and impact, advancing its charitable mission to strengthen communities by nurturing intentional spaces for boys, men, and masculine-identified youth to develop emotional wellness, empathy, and accountability. The organization provided restorative group mentoring and peer-support services to more than 750 unduplicated youth across 21 schools, 3 alternative education sites, 4 community hubs, and 1 juvenile detention facility in Pima County. Among participants, approximately 75% identified as Black, Indigenous, or People of Color (BIPOC) and 63% qualified for free or reduced-price lunch, reflecting BTMTs commitment to serving economically marginalized youth. Most participants (56%) were in middle school, a critical developmental stage for social-emotional growth. BTMT facilitated over 650 mentor-led restorative sessions that improved communication, resilience, and emotional literacy, while key staff completed professional development in ReWire Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Peer Support Specialist certification to strengthen trauma-informed service delivery. In 2024, BTMT refined and aligned its organizational logic model to focus on violence prevention, mental health promotion, and social-emotional development. These evidence-informed, culturally responsive programs furthered BTMTs exempt purpose by providing education, mentorship, and community-based prevention strategies that reduce violence, advance mental-health equity, and help young people thrive as healthy, engaged members of society.
