OVERTURE BAND PROGRAMS ALSO OFFERED ITS MORE ADVANCED STUDENTS THE OPPORTUNITY TO PARTICIPATE IN OVERTURE'S HONOR BAND. HONOR BAND IS AN EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITY THAT PROVIDES THE STUDENTS THAT PARTICIPATE AN EXPANDED MUSIC REPERTOIRE WITH MUSIC THAT IS MORE CHALLENGING (BOTH TECHNICALLY AND MUSICALLY), A LARGER GROUP BAND EXPERIENCE, AND TWO PERFORMANCES.
