Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (1)
  1. $11,487 spent. SINCE BEING CHARTERED, TOBCF HAS PURCHASED TWO HISTORICAL SITES AND TAKEN OVER MANAGEMENT OF ANOTHER FROM THE VIRGINIA UNITED METHODIST CONFERENCE. THESE SITES INCLUDE THE PLANTATION HOME OF REV. EDWARD DROMGOOLE, SR, THE EBENEZER ACADEMY MEMORIAL PARK, AND 12 AND 1/2 ACRES OF THE ORIGINAL CAMPUS OF THE RANDOLPH MACON COLLEGE WHICH LATER BECAME THE CAMPUS OF AN IMPACTFUL SCHOOL FOR AFRICAN AMERICANS, THE BOYDTON INSTITUTE. OVER TIME, TOBCF HAS MADE IMPROVEMENTS TO THE GROUNDS OF ALL THREE OF THESE SOUTHERN VIRGINIA SITES BUT MORE SIGNIFICANTLY THEY HAVE STARTED THE WORK NECESSARY TO PRESERVE THE BUILDINGS ON THESE PROPERTIES.
