Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (3)
  1. $38,263 spent. Patronesses (mothers) and ticktockers (girls) together participate in a 6-year program of philanthropic work, by completing a minimum of 20 hours of volunteer service annually with over 20 partner philanthropic organizations. Two signature events are held that recognize chapter accomplishments and also provide leadership development and cultural experiences for members, which help fulfill NCL's goal to develop strong women leaders who serve and impact their communities.
  2. $11,224 spent. Regular philanthropy events and meetings are held to further the organization's mission, promote community service, provide a forum for members to become familiar with the purposes of the organization and philanthropies served, and also to provide opportunities for service. Approximately 6,200 volunteer hours were served during this fiscal year.
  3. $2,641 spent. Leadership development is provided at the local, district, and national levels to instruct and train members on the policies, procedures, and mission of the organization, and to provide a forum to guide members as they serve in various leadership roles.
