Financial health

We do not score finances when yearly spending is very small or the return has too little detail. The ratios stop meaning much at that size.

Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Programs described in its return (1)
  1. $53,153 spent. Program Service Provided. The District Court Alliance is a coalition of district court representatives that provides educational services to its members and participates in the legislative, judicial, and executive processes of state and federal government. The educational service program is the heart of the Texas District Court Alliance. It is the means which the members develop skills and achieve their goals of becoming well trained, educated clerks. Annually in the month of October, a Texas educational Workshop is conducted by the Board of Directors. The Board allocates an estimated 75% of their time to ensuring the workshop provides quality education. The Workshop is funded, in its vast majority, with grant funds provided by Court of Criminal Appeals via their Judicial & Court Personnel Training Program with Grant Project Title Fund 540. The Workshop includes differing curriculum presented each year. For the year 2025, the education that was presented was in reference to Civil (Non-Family) and Delinquent Tax Suits. We had quality speakers with backgrounds as experts in their assigned topics to ensure accurate information and exceptional training. At end of workshop, Flash Drives are provided to each participant as part of the workshop material. Additionally, we provide and maintain annually a library of current forms to be used by the membership as District Court personnel. The strong educational nature of this program provides for a great means in furthering our exempt purpose. It is well known in the clerk community that the Texas District Court Alliance is a workshop to attend for the quality of education received. Program Service Accomplishments. The Alliance continues to strive to provide excellent education to its membership. The workshop this year 2025 had 256 attendees that went away with the education that was presented in Civil (Non-Family) and Delinquent Tax Suits. Because of the quality we provide within our program service, the annual workshops sponsored by the Alliance have consistently received ratings from attendees in excess of 4.6 out of the possible maximum of 5. The Texas District Court Alliance is based on a 4-year curriculum - Family, Civil (Non-Family), Criminal, and Administration. Each year the Board seeks out qualified speakers based on the session that they will be speaking about, and we want to ensure that handouts can be used when the clerks return to their home county. The flash drive provided is a tool that is used often to assist the clerks with forms, personnel policies, the codes of civil, family and criminal. As well as the Local Government Codes. The Texas District Court Alliance has been approved by the Court of Criminal Appeals based on the education that is provided. The Justice assigned is responsible for the grant and oversees the education and the criteria that must be met to be awarded the grant. Given that 2026 is an election year, the 2026 workshop will focus on Administration.
