Financial health

We do not score finances when yearly spending is very small or the return has too little detail. The ratios stop meaning much at that size.

Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (2)
  1. Keep Greenville Beautiful promotes three areas of focus to accomplish their mission including: to end littering, promote recycling, and beautify communities. They sponsor several events throughout the year, including neighborhood and citywide trash pickups, recycling center field trips and school and other youth presentations about the three focus areas.
  2. Arbor Day is a project Keep Greenville Beautiful does in partnership with the City of Greenville Parks and Recreation Department. Volunteers go to each school to make a presentation about Arbor Day's history and about the benefits of trees before the gathering at the celebration. They give out between 2,600 and 2,700 seedlings each year and about 130 to 140 t-shirts. They purchase cake and punch to serve at the celebration, the mayor makes a proclamation and students from each school are given the opportunity to give a performance related to trees. This program has qualified the City of Greenville to be designated as a Tree City USA for 25 years in a row.
