Financial health

We do not score finances when yearly spending is very small or the return has too little detail. The ratios stop meaning much at that size.

Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (2)
  1. $42,815 spent. Powered by more than 70 volunteer musicians from all walks of life, the Plano Community Band turns a shared passion for music into a community tradition. Each year, the band presents two spring concerts and a fall concert at the Eisemann Center, and its especially known for its summer concerts at Haggard Park near historic downtown Plano. Every public performance is freebecause great music should be accessible to everyone. As a nonprofit supported in part by the Plano Cultural Affairs Commission and sustained through member dues and generous local donors, PCB keeps the arts within reach for families, neighbors, and first-time concertgoers alike. The bands commitment to quality is reflected in its membership in the Association of Concert Bands and its history of performing atand even hostingnational conventions. Beyond full concerts, members also share their talent through small ensembles that perform throughout North Texas, extending the mission yea
  2. While stated in the achievement description, Plano Community Band recognizes that $57,676 of in-kind service expenses were received. The organization could not function without the donation of these expenses. The organization complies with IRS standards and does not report these in-kind donations in the Form 990 as they are services and not goods or property. We make a yearly note in Part III and here on Sch. O.
