Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (3)
  1. $13,559 spent. Prison Ministry: encompasses many facets of Team 5:18 Ministries. Shane teaches classes at the prison with the help of faithful volunteers who commit to come every week. The incarcerated men have been let down by many people in their lives so this is very important that the men come each week. Malachi Dads class is a full year commitment of homework and attending the "call outs". These classes teach men Biblical principles of being a Godly father even while incarcerated. Team 5:18 hosts "A Day With Dad" each year. We provide lots of outdoor activities for the children and their fathers to enjoy. There is also a puppet show, singing, games indoor, and lunch provided. The fathers attend a meeting on Friday for instruction for the following day and they decorate a picture frame that will have a picture of they and their children taken on Saturday to take home. A backpack is provided with a Bible and the picture.
  2. $9,910 spent. Revivals and Leadership conferences: Theses events are very important to the men in the prison. The revivals pull in hundreds of men who come to hear the Gospel, enjoy music, good food and fill out prayer cards for the Inmate Pastors to follow up on. Each dorm has a revival so everyone is willing, hears about Jesus. Leadership conferences is held several times a year where outside pastors (free men) meet with the Inmate pastors to discuss selected topics and learn from each other. Food is provided for each event.
  3. $1,800 spent. Children's Home: This is a mentoring program for the boys who have severe behavioral issues and are placed in this facility. There is a "fun" meeting held each week for the boys where a Bible study is taught, games played and attention given to each boy who needs someone to care about them. A mentor is provided for each child. These mentors go through a background check and training before being allowed to mentor. They must commit to visiting their child at least 2 times a month. We provide games and any needs that the home tells us about. A pickleball court was donated by our ministry this year.
