Financial health

We do not score finances when yearly spending is very small or the return has too little detail. The ratios stop meaning much at that size.

Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (3)
  1. $4,943 spent. Regional and State math contests - Contests were held again this year both at the regional and state levels. Medals were purchased and presented at the 10 Regional sites in six subject areas: Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Trig/Precal, Statistics, and Calculus. The winners from each region were invited to participte at the state level contest. Medals were presented at the awards ceremony with cash awards given to the first, second, and third place winners. Trig/Precal, calculus and statistics winners were awarded 300/200/100 and the other three contest winners were awarded 150/100/50. Medals have to be purchased and shipped to each of the 10 regional sites.
  2. $14,332 spent. ACTM held a one day conference with a leadership conference the day before. Over 125 K-16 teachers, specialists, and principals attended. We provided speakers and numerous break out sessions. Expenses are for part of the 2024 conference and most of the 2025 conference. Since the conference is held in November, some of the expenses from 2024 were not paid until 2025.
  3. $3,500 spent. Teachers may apply for several available PD and Classroom Awards each year. This year we awarded two - one for 500 and one for 1000. One teacher attended an NCTM Regional conference and one the NCTM Annual conference. When they return they write an article for our three times a year digital journal. We also sent one board member delegate to the NCSM conference and one to the NCTM conference and will pay expenses up to $1000 each.
