Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (2)
  1. $342,991 spent. The Academy offers a bilingual, Christian, and personalized education to about 178 students during the 2023-2024 school year, spanning roughly 186 learning days. Students can choose between in-house classes or home-schooling. For those studying at home, the Academy provides materials, supports parents, and manages testing and grading. The curriculum follows the Accelerated Christian Education program from the School of Tomorrow, adapted for online learning. Students also enjoy free lunches through the USDA School Lunch Program, extended hours until 5:00 PM, and tutoring under Title I-A Ley de educación primaria y secundaria. Activities include Honor Roll recognition, field trips, mass, field day, Día de la Puertorriqueñidad, a Christmas Lights celebration, and spiritual retreats. This year, 98 students made the Honor Roll. Notable milestones included 9 kindergarteners moving to Level 1, 17 advancing to secondary school (Level 7), 13 starting high school, and 11 earning their diplomas, all celebrated with family, supervisors, and monitors at special ceremonies.
  2. $16,658 spent. The sports program has three main parts: the regular physical education curriculum, after-hours coaching sessions, and participation in competitions organized by the Sport School Union or UDE. A total of 28 students joined the after-hours coaching. Participation in the area circuit of private colleges dropped due to a lack of coaching resources and a decline in student enrollment. With fewer students, it was hard to form volleyball and basketball teams in various categories, leading to more limited competition involvement. Overall, the Academy competed in chess, basketball (junior and elementary), track and field, swimming, softball, and volleyball (junior and elementary).
