What it says it does

The Plantation Key School PTA sets yearly goals that promote the welfare and education of children while taking into account current school needs. They work in partnership with a variety of individuals, including parents and staff members, to accomplish our goals. Their overall purpose is to make every child's potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and community members to advocate for all children. The PKS PTA is dedicated to promoting student success and well-being through strong parent, family, and community involvement. They strive to offer services and resources that meet the diverse needs of the PKS student body. They also promote activities that strengthen school spirit, encourage family togetherness and support safety within our community.

  1. $67,781 spent. The PTA served 580 students and 110 staff at Plantation Key School in Tavernier, Florida. Some of the PTA's accomplishments include providing school supplies to 75 teachers as well as organizing several events including Teacher Appreciation Week, a movie night, a school dance, and an end of year school carnival. Programs that the PTA were involved in included PBIS (Positive Behavior in Schools), Readers are Leaders program, and Teachers Pay Teachers. The PTA worked hard to receive donations and sponsorships from the community valued at over $30,000 to pay for these events and programs.
