These fees included: tuition, transportation to and from school, room and board, uniforms and shoes, school supplies, testing fees, field trip expenses and the like. These are grants give to students who go through an application process and annual review. MSPF is also a major supporter of the Beloved Daughters Maasai girls rescue home. Digging of wells, installing gutterings along tin roof school buildings, supply water tanks and support construction of foundations for these tanks, development of filtration systems that are appropriate to the technology available in the areas.
- $6,500 spent. Sanitation and Safety. As Maasai become less nomadic because of land demarkation, the need to community sewage plans are needed. MSPF has assisted in digging pit latrines and building toilet structures at rural schools and village centers. MSPF supplies Insecticide Treated Nets (ITN) and education on the proper usage of these prophylactics.
