What it says it does

To serve veterans and their families and to support the communities in which they live. AMVETS programs are focused on preserving freedom, supporting our defenders and serving communities by enhancing their lives. Our Americanism, Community Service and Child Welfare programs from local and national levels deliver our promise of preserving freedoms that America's armed forces have trained, served and, so often, sacrificed to defend. We have focused on helping to groom the up and coming cadets in our area to promote the armed forces.

Financial health

We do not score finances when yearly spending is very small or the return has too little detail. The ratios stop meaning much at that size.

Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.
