Financial health

We do not score finances when yearly spending is very small or the return has too little detail. The ratios stop meaning much at that size.

Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

  1. $88,936 spent. The Womans Club of Keystone Heights is a historic cornerstone of our community, celebrating its 100th anniversary in January 2024. Since its founding, the club has played a vital role and supporting community service and civic engagement, both in its building and throughout the Keystone Heights area. Maintaining our historic facility and supporting community programs require significant financial resources of which comes from our fundraising activities. The club is best known for awarding scholarships to graduating seniors at Keystone Heights High School. However, due to necessary HVAC and roof replacements this year, we were only able to provide half the scholarship funding we awarded in the previous year and have sought additional donations to meet our commitments. In addition to our scholarship program, the Womans Club provides space for both public and private community events, supports local schools with needed supplies and volunteer efforts, and contributes to donations and volunteer hours to the Lake Area Ministries Food Bank, and other community events. In 2024 the club received several large one time donations designated for essential HVAC and roof replacements to reserve its historic building. As a result. This is the first year the Club has been required to file form 990EZ. In all prior years, annual receipts were under $50,000 and the Club qualified to file for 990-N (E postcard).
