Financial health

We do not score finances when yearly spending is very small or the return has too little detail. The ratios stop meaning much at that size.

Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (2)
  1. $67,000 spent. We established and paid monthly into 2 funds that are managed by the Humane Society of Marion County Animal Clinic. The first fund is used to help small rescue and shelter organizations pay for spay and neuter procedures. The second fund helps needy families pay for urgent care of their animals as well as people who brought strays to the clinic.
  2. $13,200 spent. Money was paid to Sheltering Hands an organization that provides shelter and veterinary care for cats. Sheltering Hands has a clinic that provides low cost spay and neuter procedures. Our fund that we established and send money monthly for helps reduce the cost even more for needy families and people who bring in feral cats to be spayed or neutered. Sheltering Hands is our fiduciary who controls which families are allocated a credit to help pay for the procedures.
