Programs described in its return (3)
  1. $93,178 spent. GFAA Gallery Exhibitions: The Gallery hosted 18 onsite exhibitions in 2025 with online versions of each exhibition, and provided programming to expand audience viewing. The exhibits featured 275 artists showing varied pieces of work; awards and recognition were given to recognize works of merit. The first annual High School & College level student juried exhibition was held. Artists are also featured in the gift shop where they can exhibit a collection of small paintings and 3-D items, such as sculptures, ceramics, cards, and jewelry.
  2. $56,418 spent. Workshops, Classes, Networking, and Mentoring: In 2025 GFAA hosted 5 workshops, continued the weekly Open Studio program, and the monthly Artists Meet-Up events where the artists come together to talk about the work in the current exhibitions.
  3. $22,349 spent. Community Outreach: In 2025, GFAA added a community program called Mindful Messages. Each year, a mural is created at a local school to empower and inspire middle & high school students through art. This year the mural was completed at Gainesville High School, with the help of students from Santa Fe College. Additionally, GFAA continued to offer ongoing exhibits in community public venues, including Oak Hammock at UF, restaurants, a church, and two locations of UF Innovate. We held our annual Studio Tour where visitors can tour various artists studios; continued the collaboration with the Friends of Elementary Arts Exhibition, offered one month of in-kind week-long exhibition space to artists for solo or curated show opportunities, hosted an Afro-futurism exhibition with the University of Florida, community collaboration exhibitions with the Greater Gainesville International Center, UF Center for Arts in Medicine and the Writers Alliance of Gainesville
